Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has declared Monday, July 8, 2024 as public holiday in commoration of the beginning of new Islamic calendar 1446 AH.
He enjoined the people to utilize the holiday to reflect on the previous year and commit themselves in mutually beneficial activities that will bring succur to the people in this difficult and trying times.
On its part, the government will continue to initiate policies and programmes that will empower people to be self dependent.
The governor urged Muslim Ummah to intensifies prayers for continued peace and progress in the State.
He expressed optimism with prayers and support of the people, his administration will turn around the fortunes of the state and return it back to the most economically prosperous state among itโs pears in the nation.
