Ondo Women group drums support for Aiyedatiwa’s Candidature

Ondo Women under the aegis of Ondo Women leaders coalition have thrown their weight to the current Gov. Aiyedatiwa’s candidacy in the forthcoming APC Ondo guber primaries.

The Coalition led by Chief Olamide Falana maintained that the women are critical stakeholders in the political sphere, hence the need to support every government program as laid down by APC’s Aiyedatiwa and Tinubu’s administration.

Mrs Falana who made the call in a statement made available to newsmen on Friday in Akure, said the coalition would fully support the political ambition of Gov Aiyedatiwa and his team.

Hajia Surayya Sai Mama, the Special Adviser to the APC national chairman and the conveyor who led the mammoth in their thousands to her boss, says the level of women participation in Ondo politics is so encouraging.

Sai Mama further admonished the women council to extend their tentacles and come in full fledged in ensuring the victory of the ruling party in the forthcoming Ondo guber race for dividends of democracy to reign.

“We are here today with this mammoth, to clear the airs on those faceless jackals trying to defame our endear governorship hopeful”

Earlier in his remark, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar ganduje, the APC national chairman praise the women wing for their unflinching effort to ginger the womanhood in Ondo politics.

“I will collaborate with you to move our candidate to victory, hit the nail on the head” Said Ganduje

According to Favor Tomomewo, from Ilaje local government maintain that as the umbrella body of women organisations in Nigeria, the the forum will do its best to give the Governor the necessary support he needs to win.

“We enjoin the women and youths from across 18 local government of ondo state to imbibed spirit of unity and work against all unknown elements behind the blacken of the state political cloud”.

According to her, the success so far achieved attracts high level support in government at all levels.

“Within few months in office, Aiyedatiwa achieved yardstick for measuring progress in development, this is a clarion call on all compatriots to support, show passion and vote him again ahead of the primaries.

Alfijir gathered that the women parley after deliberation on the political situation and future of the state resort to the current apt decision.

Dr Memunat Olayemi Mahmud from Owo despite their effort, noted that they are aware of antics of desperate faceless group who purported letter to the APC national chairman defaming Aiyedatiwa’s image.

Dr Olayemi further clarifies that Lucky Aiyedatiwa is the the most acceptable and most popular of all the governorship hopefuls in the state and as the sitting governor deserve a right of first refusal.

“We hereby express our vote of confidence for the election in person of His Excellency Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as the party flag bearer of our great party in the forthcoming party primaries and gubernatorial election in Ondo state” said Olayemi

“And as a women forum, we will support all the commitments to make sure he become the candidate, and also ensure that we support him to win the seat he is vying for,” she said.

The Coalition of women hails from 203 wards across the 18 area councils of the state endorsed and called for support for Gov. Aiyedatiwa as he declares his ambition for number one seat of the state.

The group said that the action was in recognition of Aiyedatiwa’s antecedents in his service to humanity, especially to women and children of Ondo as he steer the wheel after the demise of his boss.
